You need to be familiar with what a web site is, what it can do for you, how it is put together, and how it is created.  This information is at the start.

Where can I find the UCO Web Guidelines?

The UCO Web Presence Guidelines and the Technology and Network Usage Policy can be found on the Information Technology site.

What kind of server does UCO have?

For more information on the particular web servers available at UCO, please visit the server information page.

How do I get an account on the UCO server?

An account on one of the UCO servers must be submitted and approved through Information Technology.

What steps do I need to take?

For specifics related to account services see Web Account Services for more information and detail.

What steps are done by someone else?

The Web Team will create the account, assign a username and password.  You will be notified when the account is complete.

How do I get an address (URL)?

The web site address or URL is assigned and created along with the account.

What information is required to be on a UCO page?

On each page of a site, UCO requires contact information, the date the page was last updated, and a link back to the UCO Home page.  Additional requirements are listed in the Web Presence Guidelines.
