What are 404 web errors?

404 web errors are the page that displays when a file cannot be found.  Generally these pages are displayed when the web has been redesigned and pages have been moved but the old page is still bookmarked or indexed in a search engine somewhere.

What is Java Script?

JavaScript is a basic scripting language that allows Web authors to create dynamic pages that react to user interaction. JavaScript is based loosely on the Java programming language. JavaScript programs are contained within the HTML code of the Web page and are interpreted by the browser as it its read in contrast to Java programs that are downloaded separately from the HTML page. JavaScript is a "safe" programming language, one that cannot access any system controls or hardware on a user's computer.

What is a hit counter?

A hit counter may tell you how many times your web page has been opened in a particular set of browsers.  Hit counters are generally not an accurate measure of web site traffic.  For instance, a hit counter will not tell you how many unique visitors viewed your page.  For that information you will need statistical reporting for your site.
