Web Services

University of Central Oklahoma Information Technology Web Services Area provides assistance to students, faculty, staff and the university community interested in having an internet and/or intranet presence in the form of a web site or streaming event.

Notice:  Front Page Server Extensions (FPX) for UNIX have entered into end-of-life with Microsoft.  Support for the FPX has been terminated as of June 30, 2006.  IT will continue to host web pages under the FPX until such time that the server extensions become security issues or all sites have been moved to the content management suite.  If you are interested in moving your pages, please submit a request to Technology Support.

Web Site Services is the place to begin. This section answers questions about web sites, requesting an account, site planning, site development and basic site publishing in an easy to follow question and answer format.

Account Services provide guidelines on establishing a site, help on identifying the type of account needed and account request procedures.

Solution Services provide answers on required, basic, intermediate, and advanced web site elements.

Streaming Services provide links to active streaming, on-demand content, and special streaming events along with information on how to request a streaming event.  (Streaming Services were formerly known as Web Casting Services.)

General Services provide information on the available servers, web projects, and a way to contact the web staff.
