Long Distance Information

In order to call long distance numbers or send faxes to long distance numbers it is necessary to have a long distance code.

To get a Long Distance code... 

  1. Contact Technology Support  (974-2255)
  2. Provide your name, phone number, account code (for payment), building and room number
  3. You will be notified when your long distance code is available

To Dial Long Distance...

  1. Get a dial tone
  2. Dial 9 to get an outside line
  3. Dial the long distance number
  4. You will hear a three beep stutter tone
  5. Put in your long distance access code

To Fax to a Long Distance Number...

  1. Use the handset to get a dial tone
  2. Dial 9 to get an outside line
  3. Dial the long distance number
  4. Listen for the three beep stutter tone
  5. Put in your long distance access code
  6. When you get a fax signal from the number you have dialed - press send
