Tsige Belette

Tsige was born and raised in Ethiopia, East Africa.  She came to the United States in 1974 for further education.  She graduated from UCO with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and General Business.  Tsige has been employed at UCO since May, 1981, where she began as a mainframe computer operator.  She is now a System Administrator I for the Sun Solaris systems, as well as manager of the two IT-operated open-use extended-hour campus computer labs.

Tsige has two sons—Yonas, age 22, graduated in February 27, 2005, with a bachelor's degree in Networking and Telecommunications from Devry University; and Tamerat, age 19, is a freshman at UCO.
