David Huntz
David
is currently working as our Technology Support Specialist III. He provides
Help Desk support. His duties overlap into the Enterprise Services
organization where David supports Lotus Notes for the University
of Central Oklahoma. In
this position, David is responsible for providing support to the campus on the
usage of various software packages through the Help Desk. He develops and/or
communicates hardware and software fixes, performs minor repair/maintenance on
computer equipment and various other types of equipment as needed, and tracks
virus threats and assists users in identifying whether their systems are
infected. David joined UCO in September 1999 and served as a Computer Operator
in Computing Services, where he was responsible for mainframe operation.
Prior to joining UCO, David was an
In-flight Aviation Electronics Technician for the United States Navy, where he
was instrumental at information management in the Airborne Strategic Command
Division at Naval Air Station (NAS) in Patuxent River, Maryland. As a liaison between
NAS Patuxent River and Raytheon System Company in Waco, Texas, David directed
projects involving research, development, testing, and evaluation of the E-6A/B
aircraft and mission systems.
David is A+ certified
through the Computing Technology Industry Association (Comp-TIA). He earned credit hours
toward a degree in Aviation Electronics through military technical education in
Tennessee, Maryland, Alabama, and Texas.
